About me

Scott Lee is the founder and CEO of Gooroo, a next-generation AI-powered tutoring and learning platform with a strong focus on personalization. Gooroo assesses needs, pinpoints learning styles, and continuously tracks progress with data-driven insights from personalized learning experts. We’re also transparent and fair about our pricing, which is surprisingly new in education. Gooroo is where you go to get an honest education.

Scott used to be a  Senior Analyst at JP Morgan Chase’s Chief Investment Office. Prior to Gooroo, he also founded Peertutor.co.kr, a non-profit platform that connected underserved children with English tutor volunteers, and Mud Cafe, a niche online fashion retailer.

Scott felt fortunate to have such expert guidance, but realized that it was inaccessible to most of his peers. In high school, Scott connected thousands of tutors to Korean students in need. After college, Scott created Gooroo to bring accessibility and excitement to education outside the classroom in New York and beyond. Today, Gooroo is a burgeoning community of passionate teachers and curious students.

Scott loves working with brilliant people and creating something out of nothing.
